The Great Prayer

Prayer is often misused or misunderstood. This book features the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples that is often referred to as the "Lord's Prayer." It was not meant to be a memorized mantra, but a pattern for communication with God. There are 12 distinctive steps that I have labeled as: Prominence, Place, Praise, Participation, Provision, Pardon, Prevention, Protection, Possession, Power, Presence, and Permanence in Perspective. This book also addresses the need for meditative "awareness" as a prelude to prayer. Jesus practiced this often when he would withdraw from the crowds to a solitary place.
