Kahlil Gibran was a Lebanese-American artist, poet and a writer. He was known as the 'Sonneteer of Washington Street'. Gibran is the third most-read poet in the world. Gibran's best-known work is "The Prophet", a book comprising of 28 poetic essays. In Lebanon, he is still celebrated as a literary hero.
