John Bunyan is most famous for writing The Pilgrim's Progress, and its later published sequel. Bunyan was imprisoned for his faith for nearly 12 years when he declared to his prosecutors, "If you release me today, I will preach tomorrow." It was during this time in prison when Bunyan penned his allegory of the trials and sufferings of The Pilgrim.
