Dead Angel
John Clark
Author John Clark, who grew up with Garcia in San Francisco, reveals for the first time many experiences relevant not only to diehard 'Dead Head' fans, but to anyone intrigued with the turbulent culture of rock music and motorcycle gangs from the 1960s on. Among the questions Clark tackles are how he and Garcia first met outlaw bikers, and how Garcia conceived of the Grateful Dead. Viewable for the first time are several original photos of Jerry Garcia. Praise for the book's realism comes from those close to the action. Jerry Garcia's brother Cliff says it is 'the best book I have read about my Brother.' And according to Filthy Phil, Former President of Frisco Hell's Angels, 'Dead Angel is the best I have read about the Hell's Angels. It is the truth.'
