A simple hen-herdess with the uncanny abilities to run faster than mortals and strike any target of her choosing, Jia learns that the sorcerer who removed her heartstrings-the physical embodiment of her will-has a larger purpose: to enslave all in the land of Ckelnor and the Southern lands. A series of alarming events sets her and her two ducklings on the quest for freedom both for herself and the free peoples of Ckelnor.
