Leaning toward the literal side of literary, Kern's second poetry collection is hyper-relatable and includes three original short stories. The primary theme of the book's poetry deals humorously and seriously with "the ultimate elephant in the room." While shining depth and whimsy on the inevitable human experience, Kern also pays homage to his North Country roots with the likes of "The Great Swim," "St. Lawrence Sing Along," and "Should."
