Losing his wife to cancer at age 28 is something author Bryant Thigpen never thought he would have to face. Even though Stephanie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2011, her miraculous recovery and her determination to defeat all odds gave them hope it would never return. However, devastating MRI results on August 27, 2015, revealed a five centimeter tumor had formed and the cancer was back. For the next 10 months, the couple experienced many ups and downs in their fight against cancer. While their journey was filled with many trials, it was clear to see they received blessings from above along the way. In this book, Bryant shares their story of the struggles Stephanie went through with this illness and the challenges he faced being a caregiver and ultimately losing his wife to this atrocious disease. In the middle of the fiercest storm, Bryant discovered he was not alone. There were many God sent his way who had endured losing a spouse to death to encourage him. Most importantly, Bryant realized that beyond what he could see or feel, God was there with Him. Knowing that he wasn't alone on this journey was the key that helped Bryant persevere and still helps him today. Losing a loved one to death is one of the most difficult things a person will face in their lifetime. It is accompanied by days of sorrow, grief and loneliness and healing doesn't come overnight. Bryant penned their story to be a source of strength to those who are grieving, although there are no words that can really take the pain away. There's peace in knowing they're in a place where there's no more sickness, pain or sorrow, but it doesn't quench the hurt. It certainly doesn't eliminate the sorrow, but there is peace and strength in knowing YOU ARE NEVER ALONE.
