Three Pieces

Upon Reflection -- for strings. Melodies running through a gauntlet of mirrors. Hypercanon -- for orchestra. A portrait of the Madonna with the head of Mary Magdalen. Pi -- A piece for septet that, more graciously and effectively than anything previously written, attempts to capture the sonic and the musical essence of pi, the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
