The Asian country of Indonesia is the fourth most populous country on earth. The island of Java is so long that it fills both sides of this map. The national capital, Jakarta, is also on this island, but it the experience of travelling on the island that leads to the most memories. The islands road network is excellent, and passenger rail service is very good. The island is the site of several volcanoes, and the famous island of Krakatoa is now a national park, just west of Java. Naturally, being a nation of islands, excellent ferry services join Java to Bali and other islands. The map also includes several inset maps of major cities, such as central Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya. This island needs at least a week to see properly. Cruise ships also visiting various ports of call on a regular basis. Indonesia is rapidly becoming an economic powerhouse, so it is very nice that it is also tourist-friendly. ITMB also publishes a separate map of the entire country and sectional maps of Bali, Lombok, Kalimantan/Borneo, and Sumatra. Java is a prime travel experience waiting to happen!
