This is the second book in the Intrepid series, it is based on a true story that unfolds in post war Britain. It is 1952 and thestakes have been raised for the young protagonist, Horace Gray. In the seventeen years of his life in a medium-sized British town Horace has already experienced devastating grief, become entangled in the web of an international criminal syndicate and operated on the fringes of the intelligence services.
