Changing Church and State Relations in Hong Kong, 1950–2000

Investigating the relationship between the state and society at large in Hong Kong between 1950 and 2000, this title suggests that the early role of the Catholic and Protestant churches was that of "contractor" to the government, limiting the church's capacity to adopt the role of "prophet".
