Elspeth Jansen is working her way through normal life issues-- a shady living situation, creepy boss, colicky baby-- when she finds an injured, abandoned puppy in the park. Said puppy is actually Juniper, a young werewolf. Soon nothing is normal about Elspeth's life anymore: to protect her from the cult-like Red Eyes pack that hurt her, Elspeth is brought to Juniper's den. There she encounters other supernatural creatures, including two potential partners: Aria, an intriguing escapee from the Red Eyes; and Tel, a fae who's an old friend of the pack.
