After Malaysia's 13th General Election, the opposition coalition had the biggest win ever in the history of modern Malaysia but still failed to topple the longest-serving government in the world, Barisan National. Racial and religious politics ran rampant and still polarised the multiethnic society in Malaysia. This book is a rambling thought of a small-time writer, Faruk, in his effort to earn a living through political patronage. Faruk's interactions with other characters and his monologues deal with issues of the polarised society, politics, politicians and the socio-political changes of society, delivered with full sarcasm and touches of black humour.
