Soon, however, the gift turned into more of a nightmare when he found himself ensnared in a galactic war with Earth as the target of the Darhan Alliance led by the Ieroga, a terrifying and brutal carnivorous species. By the end of that volume he had become one with his inner Apollyon self who is an energy entity. With the power of both beings combined, Erik is a force to be reckoned with and while his nemesis, Mundar struggles to eliminate Erik, Apollyon and his human counterpart are a fierce match against the powerful military Chief Commander. What Erik has yet to learn is that his Apollyon self has withheld valuable information from his human counterpart, because she's concerned about how he'll react when he finds out that the other son of Apollyon lives within the embodiment of the man known as Mundar. That conflict of interest sets the stage for a challenging plot for the human to contend with given his warrior ethic and intentions for saving humankind from ultimate extinction.
