The Competition

American romantic comedy in which two people decide to challenge their views on romantic relationships by setting up a competition. When Calvin (Chris Klein) meets Lauren (Thora Birch) he soon learns that she has been applying a theory to all of her romantic relationships which means that she ends all of their relationships after six months to avoid being hurt by infidelity. Determined to prove her wrong, Calvin convinces Lauren that if five of his friends in long-term relationships are able to resist the temptation to cheat then her theory can be invalidated.
