At this juncture, the group was on the cusp of stardom, with their reputation solidifying in the UK and across Europe over the preceding ten months. However, during this Los Angeles concert attended by over 17,000 individuals, many were primarily there to witness the headlining act, The Mamas & The Papas, unaware that they would be entranced by Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking musical prowess and showmanship.
