This is the original soundtrack suite for *Louis Malle's* film *'Ascenseur pour l'echafaud',* which was first issued by the small French label Fontana for the French market only. Later also for the USA as a 12-inch LP combining the film soundtrack suite with a previously unissued studio session by the **Miles Davis** group (also included here) from around the same period, titled *'Jazz Track'.* This reissue also includes seven bonus tracks.
