This was the first outing for John Creasey's Michael Halliday pseudonym, following clarion calls from the publishers after the success of the Baron series, and who asked for 'a different kind of story.' So he created Three for Adventure, a tale of people caught up in a web of events in which they are utterly helpless. The book was an immediate success, and was serialised widely.
