Widely acclaimed and highly innovative Maceo Plex’s album is being heralded as “the first great dance album of the year”. ‘Your Style’ is proving to be the favourite track from the album, so Crosstown recruited Maya Jane Coles the hottest young producer around to do it justice. This is Maceo Plex second single on Crosstown after the great ‘Vibe Your Love’ release late last year. ‘Your Style’ is a tougher, deeper sound featuring the edgy, dark vocals of Maceo himself. A sleazy, druggy slice of slice of deep groovy house, complete with disco fills and really hooky groove. Already championed by all the Rebels camp as well as DJ’s as varied as Solomun, Tiefschwarz, Groove Armada, Nic Fanculli and Dubfire. On the flip and Maya Jane Coles delivers a superb remix of deep, rolling, clicky house adding a great top line and creating much more depth and space in the remix it’s a really innovative interpretation of the original, which perfectly compliments it. Maya has recently had some great releases out on Hypercolour, Mobilee and Realtone. This is a great single and all the signs seem to be pointing to another monster of a Crosstown release!
