Lamborghini Funk

For the second release on One Eyed Jacks we have Photonz again with a very diverse three tracker - two of them A sides - 100% focused on answering the needs of a new type of discerning, pace changing and musically rich dancefloors. Lamborghini Funk is the imaginary Photonz soundtrack to a Lamborghini TV comercial that never existed. Restless flashes of austere angular edges, rhythmically put together with glimpses of Jay Z, Janet Jackson or Lil John starting up those engines, making them roar before spinning round and round under a cool burgundy sunset. Named after a Lisbon area where some of the first (and most revered) portuguese raves took place, Xabregas is a 130 bpm techno groover, with tribal yet futuristic percussion, that explodes into a cloud of early 90's naivety as romanticized by two fanatics too young to experience it the first time around. On the B side we have Cascade, an 8 minute trip into 6 AM club oblivion built around slowly revealing layers of harmonic synths, desktop key non-virtuoso improv, sharp subs and broken techno motion.
