Paul Stcyr
The tragedy of The War Between the States continues as JT struggles with reoccurring postwar mental and physical trauma through Reconstruction and beyond as he tries to adjust to social and political issues affecting his southern homeland. Family matters, physical violence towards blacks, and lack of financial assistance for rebel veterans including recognition continue into the later years of the 19th century.
