Harry Payuta

Zacatecoluca Harry Payuta

Harry Payuta's new album is for the most part very rock-emphasized with worldmusic-elements. That means definitely a „Back to the Roots' for Payuta, a former member of countless rock bands (Vee Jays, Tav Falco, Amon Düül II, Electric Family ) as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and bass player. On this album he has his Sitar style even more »westernized« and developed for more options for changing harmony, which with this modal instrument in the traditional Indian way of playing is not possible.
