Duncan Chisholm

Canaich Duncan Chisholm

A delight for folk fans and another testament to one of Scotland's finest musicians. Canaich switches fluidly between jubilant jigs and reels, to the sublime lyricism of Chisholm's slow air playing. He is the consummate master of the melancholic with a purity of tone that evokes the voice of the ancients. There is swagger, jubilation and sensitive imagination in this outstanding recording.
